How TrueContext Bespoke Analytics works
You view TrueContext Bespoke Analytics dashboards directly in the Web Portal, in the same place you manage your forms and submissions. You don't need a separate tool or login.
TrueContext delivers Bespoke Analytics as a Professional Services offering. The Professional Services team works with you to build dashboards tailored to your forms and your business questions. Your dashboards then appear in the Web Portal for the people you authorize to view them.
Bespoke Analytics lets you:
-
View dashboards and reports that analyze your form data at a glance.
-
Filter, sort, and explore your data within the embedded dashboard.
-
Give business stakeholders, such as operations managers, view access to analytics without making them form builders or administrators.
Who can view Bespoke Analytics dashboards
Access to dashboards uses the standard Can View FormSpace
FormSpaces are where forms are stored and organized in the TrueContext Web Portal. A TrueContext Team may have multiple FormSpaces, depending on their needs. Admins can set FormSpace permissions to control which users have access to the forms in that FormSpace. permission, the same permission that controls access to form submissions. You don't configure a separate analytics permission.
Grant a stakeholder view access to dashboards without making them a form builder or administrator:
-
Create the person as a regular user, then grant them Can View on the FormSpaces that contain the data they need to see.
-
Dashboards inherit your TrueContext permissions. A user sees only data from the FormSpaces they can access. A dashboard fed only by FormSpaces they cannot access shows no data.
View your dashboards
Authorized users open dashboards from the Data & Analytics menu. Go to Data & Analytics > Bespoke Analytics, then select a dashboard from the list to open it in the Web Portal.
Work with your dashboards
A dashboard opens in the Web Portal and presents your data as summary tiles, charts, and tables. A dashboard can have more than one tab. Select a tab heading to switch between views. The tabs, charts, and options available depend on what the Professional Services team built for your team, so not every option described here appears on every dashboard.
Filter the data
Use the Filters panel to narrow what the dashboard shows. Filters apply at two levels:
-
Dashboard Filters affect every tab in the dashboard.
-
Tab Filters affect only the current tab.
Some dashboards also include inline filter controls, such as Submission Date, Job Site, or Technician Name. These use operators such as Equals or Between, Inclusive. Set your values, then apply the filter. To remove a filter, clear its values.
Work with charts and tables
Each chart has an options menu in its top-right corner. Use it to sort the data, choose which columns appear, or change the chart type. Table sections let you sort and reorder columns, and open a form submission to see its details. The available options vary from chart to chart, depending on how the Professional Services team built each one.
Personalize your view
When you open a dashboard, you work with a copy of the Source Dashboard. Adjust the filters, columns, sorting, and charts to match how you work, then save or discard your changes:
-
Select Save Changes to keep your personalized version. It opens automatically the next time you open the dashboard.
-
Select Discard Changes to undo changes you haven't saved.
-
Select Source Dashboard to restore the original dashboard at any time.
For more detail and examples of these dashboard controls, go to Submission Activity Analytics.
Data refresh
Dashboard data refreshes automatically as the system processes new submissions. New and changed submissions appear within a few minutes under normal conditions. During periods of high submission volume, updates can take longer.
Export data
Export a single chart from its options menu as a CSV, Excel, or PDF file. To export the entire dataset, select Export on the toolbar.
