# Introduction to Transfer to Myself

With the Transfer to Myself feature, mobile users can submit incomplete TrueContext Teamwork-enabled forms while keeping the record assigned to them. To do this, they transfer the form and select the option **Myself**. This sends a copy of the ongoing work to the server, making it available on any of the user’s other devices. Additionally, supervisors can view incomplete work from the TrueContext Web Portal. This topic describes the Transfer to Myself feature.

## How **Transfer to Myself** works

When mobile users partially complete a TrueContext Teamwork-enabled form, they can

- transfer it directly to another user, or
- make it available for other users to pick up.

With Transfer to Myself, mobile users can select the option **Myself** to keep the incomplete form assigned to themselves. This:

- Sends a copy of the incomplete record to the server.
- Triggers [Data Destinations set to execute for incomplete records](../Features/PF_Teamwork/TeamworkH3/Configuration/ConfigureDataDestinationsTeamwork.md).
- Dispatches the incomplete form as a new Inbox item.

Mobile users can then open the incomplete form on a different device and continue working on it.

After you transfer a form to work on another device, make sure you only work on it on one device at a time. You must transfer the form to yourself each time you need to switch devices. If the same form is submitted from multiple devices, the system only keeps the first submission.

## Benefits of **Transfer to Myself**

### Benefits for Field technicians

Work on more than one device. Field technicians can start to capture data on a phone. Then, they can transfer the form and select **Myself** to keep the job assigned to them. Finally, they can open the form and finish the job on a tablet or desktop.

### Benefits for supervisors

- Monitor in-progress work. When technicians transfer a form, the app sends a copy of the incomplete record to the TrueContext server. Depending on your setup, this can trigger Data Destinations to send data to your third-party systems.
